Danny Mutembe stands at the forefront of the fastest moving Pharmaceutical field within the wider East African Healthcare Industry with over 16 years of experience. He is the founder and CEO of MD Conseil Medical Supply and Managing Partner of Pharmacie Conseil established in 1983 (www.pharmacieconseil.org) in Kigali – Rwanda. Representative of the National Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Association in the East African Community (EAC), member of the Federation of East-Africa Pharmaceuticals and the Chairperson of the Rwanda Community Pharmacies’ Association (APPOR).
Danny is also the founding member and advisor to the Rwanda Healthcare Federation(RHF); chairperson of the Board of Directors of Heritage Medical Park and board member of the Rwanda Biomedical Center (RBC), King Faysal Hospital (KFH) andUbuzima Foundation among others. A calculated risk-taker with deep Pharmaceutical field knowledge, Danny is a lecture at the University of Rwanda an external examiner to Mount Kenya University (MKU); and also a consultant in the pharmaceutical sector for local, regional and international organizations.
He holds a Masters’ degree in Pharmaceutical engineering and Industrial technology from the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL) Brussels – Belgium where he was awarded with the Willy LHOEST Prize in Pharmaceutical engineering & Technology. Embracing the core values of loyalty, innovation, and growth, Danny is the Chairperson of the technical committees of Pharmaceuticals & Cosmetics at the Rwanda Standards Board in Kigali – Rwanda.
