UHF is affiliated to the East Africa Healthcare Federation (EAHF) which hosts an annual conference that brings together health sector players from all over the globe, to harness integration of health service delivery. UHF was the pioneer host back in 2012 and set pace for the other countries.
For the second time round, UHF hosted the 5th annual EAHF conference in Kampala at the Sheraton hotel from 5th – 7th June 2016. The conference had 470 delegates registered to attend which can be attributed to the growing email database UHF has built enhancing wide circulation of the invitation within and out of the country. UHF was also honored to host high level officials including the US ambassador to Uganda (Amb. Deborah Malac), World Bank Program Leader Human Development, Michele Gragnolati and Prof. Khama Rhogo, World Bank Lead Health Specialist & Health in Africa Initiative and the State Minister of Health for General Duties, Hon. Chris Baryomunsi among others.
All the delegates that participated in the evaluation of conference revealed that they were satisfied with both the organization, facilities as well as the content and quality of the presentations made. Also various congratulatory messages were received from various attendees during and after the conference.
The success of the event yielded great outcomes like media impact with UHF receiving requests to feature in media articles like the medical review magazine, increased visibility where UHF has become a talking point amongst various stakeholders interested in collaborations, significant growth of the UHF emailing database adding about 400 email addresses to it.
