Dr. Mariam M. Ongara is a qualified Medical Doctor with Master of Arts in Programme/Project Management (UK) currently working as National Public Private Partnership Coordinator at the Ministry of Health Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MoHCDGEC). Her responsibilities and duties include coordinating efforts of partners in the health sector, encouraging public private partnerships, facilitating creative and innovative approaches and chairing the PPP Technical Working Group on behalf of the MoHCDGEC.
Previously she worked as the Hospital Reforms Programme Coordinator, District Medical Officer for more than 10 years and also worked as a general practitioner in several hospitals in Tanzania. Dr. Mariam has also attended several short courses and workshops on Public Private Partnerships and Public Private Cooperation.
